Fifteen years ago, Viet-AID, mobilized the Vietnamese community to plan and develop the nation’s first Vietnamese community center. The services provided in the Vietnamese Center and the projects Viet-AID has built, provide affordable housing to over 100 families and individuals annually; deliver critical child care, senior and youth services to thousands of immigrant families; build a critical customer base for over 200 neighborhood businesses; and increase civic participation and grassroots leadership development among Vietnamese immigrants.
Green and Affordable Development
To date, Viet-AID has transformed formerly vacant and brownfield sites into a community center, a community garden and five housing and mixed-use projects – all located within a 1/2 mile radius of the Fields Corner station.

Homeowner Support Services
Viet-AID’s multiple strategies aim to maintain a healthy urban fabric and to support a resilient Fields Corner. To this date Viet-AID has assisted xx residents through the first time homebuyers program to buy their first home in the community and has helped xx residents through the foreclosure prevention program to avoid foreclosure.
