HOUSING RESOURCES
- EVICTIONS: The Massachusetts ban on evictions ended on October 17, 2020. However, tenants who cannot pay rent should apply for state rental assistance and still have some protections under a federal eviction ban through the end of the year. Asian Outreach has created a one-page fact sheet on these resources in English, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Call the numbers below for housing emergencies:

- RENTAL ASSISTANCE: Households who are unable to pay rent may be eligible for up to $10,000 in state assistance. For help with applying, call the numbers below:
- Vietnamese: (617) 804-2456 (VietAID)
- English: 211 or Metro Housing Boston
- HEATING AND ELECTRIC: Low-income households may benefit from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Households that receive benefits such as SSI, EAEDC, SNAP, MassHealth, and others may qualify for assistance. See attached flyers to schedule an appointment today. Remember to apply early!
